How Does the UPL 2026 Men’s Format Work?
The men’s competition has seven teams.
Each side plays every other team once during the league stage. That gives every franchise six league matches and creates 21 league fixtures in total.
The knockout route is shorter than a traditional four-team playoff.
- The team finishing 1st in the points table qualifies directly for the final.
- The teams finishing 2nd and 3rd play the Eliminator.
- The Eliminator winner advances to the final.
- The remaining four teams do not qualify for the title match.
This system puts extra value on finishing first because the table leader avoids the Eliminator.
UPL 2026 Venue
The Uttarakhand Premier League 2026 will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Raipur, Dehradun.
The stadium has served as the main home of the Uttarakhand Premier League since the competition began.
Keeping the tournament at one venue reduces travel between matches and gives teams a consistent playing environment throughout the event.
UPL 2026 Match Timings
The men’s league uses three main time slots:
| Session | Time |
|---|---|
| Morning Match | 11:00 AM IST |
| Afternoon Match | 3:00 PM IST |
| Evening Match | 7:30 PM IST |
The first two men’s dates have one evening fixture each. From September 25 onwards, most league days contain three matches.
Both the Eliminator and Final start at 7:30 PM IST.
